The Role 
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Associate Booking Agent to join our expanding business. Working from NMP Live's office in Leatherhead, Surrey, you will be joining a small but vibrant team, responsible for all bookings and overseeing every aspect of an engagement from the initial enquiry through to contracts and completion of the event.

Day-to-day responsibilities include speaking with and advising bookers (clients) to determine suitable artists that fit their individual briefs and budgets; liaising with artists or their representatives; negotiating booking terms; invoicing and admin; plus travel and logistical planning. You will be expected to proactively promote the artists on our roster, increase sales and cultivate long-term relationships with both bookers and artists.

Using your ingenuity to research, identify and approach new artists for adding them to our roster, plus updating exisitng artist's profiles and attending events from time-to-time will also form part of your regular duties.

The Candidate 
Ideally, but not essentially, you will be educated to degree level, with a minimum of 2-3 years experience at an entertainment agency, speaker bureau, corporate in-house events department or other customer-facing hospitality sector role. However, what will be pre-requisites and non-negotiable essentials for this position, are candidates with the right aptitute, passion and ambition. We will then train you with the skills you'll need to excel in the role.

Suitable candidates will be self-motivated, working diligently and confidently using their own initiative, but also thrive as part of a team and able to build strong working relationships. 

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, an exemplary telephone manner with excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills are essential too. You will be detail-orientated and diligent, with the ability to be diplomatic when the situation dictates but confident and assertive when decisions need to be made; you’ll be adaptable and able to manage multiple deadlines with a competing workload in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

We would expect you to have a natural aptitude for learning and a strong desire to expand your knowledge-base; be tech-savvy with a working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); able to learn new computer systems quickly and be conversant with all common social media platforms. A working knowledge of Apple computer products and its Operating System will be an advantage.
